Despite the challenging circumstances of 2020, London-based songwriter and Transgressive signee Arlo Parks has been moving from strength to strength. Back with yet another stunning track, 'Caroline' is lifted from Parks' forthcoming debut LP Collapsed In Sunbeams, and if it's anything to go by we're gonna be in for a treat. Continuing to draw on hyper-personal experiences, 'Caroline' retells the story of a row on the street that Parks bore witness to, before relating the lyrics in the second verse back to herself. Sonically stripped back, groove-driven bass and shuffling acoustic drums dance around Parks' impeccable vocal work as distant guitars and droney strings add dynamics to the chorus. In Parks' own words: "'Caroline' is an exercise in people watching and seeing situations unfold without context.
